Yeah,
I agree, Living an unhealthy life can speed up the aging process and make you get menopause earlier.

You know, you can put off senility by taking supplements and using your mind to learn, read, etc. While there is a certain biological clock at work here for menopause, I believe that you can influence that clock by keeping in good shape and trying some of supplements that others are suggesting.

Hey thats a neat statement. But I really think that women should start taking supplements 'before' the onset of menopause rathen 'after'. my mum suffered a lot during her menopause and she keeps telling me that if I take my calcium and vitamins early enough, and eat on time, I wouldn't have to suffer like her. So I make sure I'm always taking some supplement or the other all the time to keep my health in mint condition.

its a part of life...all women deal with it, some women in some families have an accelerated cycles and others don't. Its a matter of genetics.

Why not take a menopause supplement that helps reduce the pain and problems associated with menopause if it's available? I think that since there are safe, healthy alternatives to suffering from menopause, if I was a woman, I'd do anything I can to reduce the stress of menopause!

AM/PM Menopause Formula, 60 tabs

So, in general eat health, take vitamins, keep stress low and don't smoke or had more toxins then needed to your body.
Lifestyle issues that don't result in the removal of critical organs involved in the "hormone loops" have little impact on the timing of menopause unless there have been activities that shut down your ovaries, highly unlikely, result in the removal of any of the female reproductive organs, or your body fat is so low that estrogen isn't mediated in the fat cells properly, for lack of an easier description.

Note....body fat is an issue.

Women are supposed to be "rounder" than most of the images presented in the media. Estrogen sort of requires more body fat to function properly.

I think most medical problems can be prevented by healthy diet, exercise and living wih less stress. However, that is over simplistic an often difficult for people to manage until their health problems become so severe they are forced to change.

I always prefer nutritional supplements to medications. However, if the problem is severe medications are required. People have been able to turn around many illnesses such as diabetes, by changing the way they eat. I always prefer good nutrition to supplements when possible, but again it isn't always.

Early onset menopause is caused by hormone imbalance. The medical community typically treats hormone imbalance with synthetic hormone replacement.

To do it naturally, walk everyday, listen to the stresses in your life and take action to reduce them, and eat healthy. Give up sugar and anything that comes in a box. It's not real food. Eat produce, lean meats and whole grains, beans, nuts, yogurt, and other natural foods. Avoid a lot of fat as animal fat and dairy products, although natural, they are contaminated by pollution these days. Because animals and people store pollution in their fat. Take nutritional supplements initially to boost your health.

Oh yes, and detox your home. Throw out anything you own that says "warning, hazard, or poison" on the label. "Caution" is the safest warning label. Throw out anything that is scented.

You can clean with vinegar, baking soda and soap. You will breath easier immediately. Do your laundry/dishes with detergents that are bio-degradable and free from synthetic fragrances. Essential oils are ok, they are natural.

If you do this, you will lose the "foggy" feeling that people sometimes get from poor indoor air quality.

Does anyone give much credence to the xenohormones theory and early menopause? Supposedly environmental estrogens are doing screwy things with our bodies: Xenohormones and Your Health
