Default Therapeutic Milieu

I think a good approach to alternative health/medicine is to take an approach that brings together both the physical (supplements, herbs, etc.) and the psychological (stress reduction, anxiety reduction, etc.) To these two we could add regular meditation or something along the lines of Tai Chi.

It would be cool to find a gym or whatever that offers these together in a sort of therapeutic milieu.

I'm pretty sure there are things out there like this. i think the closest place to workout that resembles this idea would be some martial arts studios. They teach discipline as well as physical development.

I practise power yoga which is great for reducing stress and is a great way to stay in shape. If you add a few supplements to it, then nothing like it, you can stay healthy for a long time. However, for people who are into body building, they have to hit the gym regularly and pack in a lot of protien and body enhancing supplements.

I like the idea of the combination of yoga & supplements and intend to try it myself this summer. I am juggling a lot and the stress reduction would be nice.

I've never done power yoga, but I've definitely taken supplements to get in shape!

You've obviously been exceptionally successful at body building through excercise and supplements. It would be a pretty cool experiment to have you add some sort of daily meditation to your regime and see what happens.

Well, thank you!
As far as the meditation goes, I don't do any type of formal meditating, but I do try to spend some time praying (needs to be more), and I used to love reading self improvement / people skills / leadership books.

It's been a while on that, but I need to take more time to read, and devote more time to praying.
