Question Glycogen Depletion Cycle for Muscle Growth

Glycogen Depletion Cycle for Muscle Growth / Glycogen Depletion Cycle for Bodybuilding

Adam and I just finished a week of Glycogen Depletion by eating less than 1,000 cal. per day and using severe over-training to deplete the muscle of it's glycogen stores and cause the body to think it's starving.

This week, we'll be overeating and trying to build more mass by refilling the muscle tissue with extra glycogen stores.

The principle is the same as when a woman does a starvation diet and loses 10 pounds, then as soon as she eats again gains 20 pounds. Her body basically turns into a sponge and stores everything she eats.

Have you guys ever used Glycogen Depletion for Muscle Growth?

Default Glycogen Depletion Diet to Prepare for Muscle Growth

Adam and I have finished our Glycogen Depletion Diet to Prepare for Muscle Growth and are now training heavy again and eating a ton again in preparation for muscular growth.

I still feel much smaller and deflated from my body being deprived of the calories it needs, but yesterday, we ate a ton and trained chest heavy and I could definitely feel the fullness and pump.

I think the muscle should fill back up pretty soon and hopefully we'll come out of this bigger, fuller, leaner and stronger as a result of the Glycogen Depletion Diet to Prepare for Muscle Growth.

What kinds of food do you guys typically use for glygcogen loading? We're just eating higher carbs and a lot more protein but I know things like yams etc. Are supposed to be great!
