Default question

HI guys, ive been weigth tranning for 8 months now, and managed to put on a lot of weigth and strength espically for my age. I just wannted to know if it is true that tranning 1 hour and working out only 1-2 times each body part each week is better. I currently workout a lot like 1 hour in a half for 6 days a week.

I do

day1: chest, tric,
day2: back, bic
day3: shoulder, traps
then repeat. then take one day off .

I want a schedule in which I can fit in legs and abs too. what do you guys do? Im a bit confused as to how you guys fit every body part twice a week and only train an hour.

thank you for help

Typically you need at least 3 days recovery time if you train to failure.
Here's what Adam (the V.P. of BeFit4Free.com) and I typically do:
  1. Back
  2. Chest
  3. Legs
  4. Biceps and Triceps
  5. Shoulders and Abs
  6. Rest
  7. Back to day one
Before, We'd do:
  1. Back and Biceps
  2. Chest and Triceps
  3. Legs
  4. Abs and Shoulders
  5. Rest
  6. Back to day 1
  7. Day 2
I like super-setting bi's and tri's a lot, but we're always changing it up. That's key.

It's not a short workout though, we train like this so we can destroy that muscle group... Training one muscle group for an hour - 90 minutes and going to absolute failure lets you train with a lot more intensity! Then it takes more than a few days to get back where it's not sore and you can train again!
