Hey guys, I'm back again. Haven't spent a lot of time on here lately because I was catching up on work etc. As many of you know, I had what was diagnosed as a T.I.A. or mini-stroke [Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)] on Tuesday, 1-12-10 and temporarily lost the use of the entire right side of my body. It was absolutely the scariest event of my entire life! On Tuesday morning at around 7:15 am, I woke up and tried to get to the bathroom. Normally, I set up, step out of bed and walk to the bathroom and don't think twice about it. This time when I woke up, and tried to sit up, my right arm, leg and even the right side of my face were dead. With my left arm, I grabbed the side of my bed and pulled myself off onto the floor. I dragged myself to the door like an army crawl with one arm and couldn't get stood up. I wrestled around and got the door open, then pulled myself up my dresser until I was standing on my left leg. I got my balance and decided to take a step and force my right leg to work... I twisted and as I took the weight off my left leg, fell and hit my head on the stair rail, splitting my head open and bleeding on the carpet. I rolled around determined to stand up and took hold of the stair rail. I pulled myself up and fell multiple times... I finally decided that maybe I was having a diabetic seizure (as I sometimes have) so crawled back to my bed room, grabbed my glucometer and crawled back to the stairs. I turned myself around and slid down the stairs feet first and crawled to the refrigerator and as I lay on the floor, I drank grape juice. I tested and my blood sugar was 86, so I knew it wasn't a weird seizure. I crawled back up the stairs using my left arm and left leg and then crawled to the bathroom. Still not being able to stand, I grabbed the door and pulled myself up, but fell and broke the cabinet that holds my hair gel, toilet paper etc. I finally pulled myself up on the edge of the bath tub and then scooted over to the toilet. Sitting there, I was still unable to move my right arm and kept trying to force it to reach out and pick up the gel. I could pick it up with the left hand, but the right was worthless... I crawled back to the stair rail, pulled myself up and then fell again... Hitting my head a second time, even harder, I was unable to move. I yelled, "help! Hey, someone help me!" I knew no-one was there, and it was worthless, so I started laughing, because I felt like the little old lady that said, "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" lol... I decided to crawl back to my room and get my blackberry. I called my mom and told her I was paralyzed on one side and that I was scared. The phone rang, and my friend, Adam was on the other line. He said he had a feeling that he needed to call me. Adam is the owner of: Infinite Supplements and was already at work. I told him that my right side wasn't working and I was scared. I told him how I fell and he took off and rushed right over. Adam got to my house by around 9:AM and after seeing the condition I was in, decided to take me to Swedish Medical Center on Hwy-285. I was admitted to the Emergency Room and tested for the next couple days for everything from heart problems, to stroke, to epileptic seizures. The final diagnosis was that due to a MAJOR diabetic seizure I had approximately 10 days earlier, a small blood clot formed and traveled up to my brain, causing a T.I.A. also known as a mini-stroke. The neurologist at Swedish medical center told me that he thinks that the reason I didn't end up with permanent, residual effects including paralysis was because I forced myself to move around and kept my blood pressure / heart rate high enough to keep forcing blood through my body! All I was doing is trying to stand up! I am back to 100% now and everything is going well! God is good! Thanks for all the prayers and thanks to the friends and family who have helped me through this! Oh, by the way, Swedish Hospital isn't only a great hospital for stroke victims, they also have the best hospital food ever! Gotta' try their chicken fajitas!

| Wow, that's some pretty freaky stuff man. Glad things worked out. That goes to show what the power of god, prayer, and loved ones are capable of. Not to mention a stubborn minds will not to give up! |
