Default Smoothies

I am really into smoothies at the moment, as I normally skip breakfast more from habit I have been creating smoothies for breakfast, they are really healthy, filling and a great kick start.

If you like smoothies, what does it contain?

The content of my smoothies can vary widely and depends on what I feel I need for the next 3 to four hours. If I know I am going to eat chicken or fish at the next meal, I leave out any extra protein and go for an energy burst.

I'd never do a smoothie without adding at least a lean protein. If not, it's just a carb shake...

When I make a smoothie I use a banana, skim milk, vanilla yogurt, and put it in a blender. Sometimes I add frozen berries too.

Yeah I too add some form of protein in my smoothies. I am very fond of bananas shakes, this kind of shake makes a full meal for me. I love to add some nuts to it.

Adding some sort of Low calorie, high protein supplement will give you the extra protein without all the fat and calories of nuts. I like ABB Pure Pro or Syntrax Nectar. A lot of people also use IsoPure.

Default Smoothies

My preferred smoothie/shake includes:

milk, banana, peanut butter, vanilla yogurt, and vanilla protein powder...of course with a few ice cubes to make it thick and cold

Smoothies

Peanut Butter Banilla Shake

2 tbsp Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt
1/2 - 1 Cup Fat Free Milk
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
A few Ice Cubes

What's in it?
37-40g Protein
15g Fat (80% from Peanut Butter, however the monosaturdated fat found in PB promotes weight loss)
560-600 Calories
84-90g Carbs

The Almond Berries Protein Shake

4-5 Strawberries
1 cup Blueberries (or raspberries/blackberries)
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 Scoop Vanilla Protein
A few Ice Cubes

What's in it?
23g Protein
5.5g Fat
292 Calories
36g Carbs

Chocolate Banana Latte Shake
