| As an insulin dependant diabetic myself for over 25 years, and a patient who has suffered from low testosterone levels (diagnosed at age 13) I decided to do some research and this is what I found about Diabetes And Low Testosterone: Get Discounts, Coupons & Updates from Infinite Sports USA(WebMD): a new study suggests that 1/3 of men with type 2 diabetes have low testosterone levels. Testosterone helps men reduce body fat and improves insulin sensitivity. Low testosterone levels may have serious consequences for men with diabetes, suggests Sandeep Dhindsa, MD, of State University of New York at Buffalo. "We are describing a new complication of type 2 diabetes. We are saying that the largest group of people who have [low testosterone] are diabetics," Dhindsa tells WebMD. "It means your pituitary gland, which controls all the other hormones in your body, is not working very well. We are talking about one-third of men with diabetes being at risk of high fat mass, low muscle mass, low bone density, depression, and erectile dysfunction." Diabetes And Low Testosterone - CBS News

| Hey guys, I've been an insulin dependant diabetic since I was only 27 months old, and was diagnosed with low testosterone levels at the age of 13. Since then, I have taken many different types of testosterone prescriptions but many didn't seem to work as well as others. The first time I got a testosterone injection was when I was living in Craig, Colorado. The doctor (diabetes specialist) I was working with later put me on an insulin pump also. My first dose of testosterone was an injection and I remember how great I felt for about the next month. After that, I didn't get back on testosterone till after college. I tried a few different testosterone creams including AndroGel which I didn't react well to. AndroGel made me feel moody. When I put it on, I got a spike of energy and my heart would race. Throughout the day, I'd feel like I was wearing down and by the end of every night, I was depressed and just wanted to sleep. After that, I've taken Testosterone Cypionate injections (currently taking), Testosterone Enanthate injections, and Sustanon 250 injections. I think I liked the Sustanon best and felt like my levels stayed more even and I didn't have the fluctuations as much. |

| Low testosterone levels are observed commonly in the diabetic men. Recent research has proved that diabetic men are prone to the low testosterone levels. The major outbreak has been that both the type of the diabetes disturbs the testosterone levels in the body. The production of the testosterone is found to be considerably reduced by the increased or decreased sugar levels in the body. The increased sugar level converts the testosterone in the dihydrotestosterone soon after its production, whereas low sugar level affects the production of the testosterone in the body and sometimes even stops the testosterone production completely. The low testosterone levels are bound to affect many essential functions of the body and specifically the sex life of the individual. So, men have to either stay away from diabetes or if they suffer from it then they need to keep it in normal range. A study was conducted by the group of scientists to understand the effect of effect of sugar levels on the testosterone levels in the men. The 218 men suffering with the Type 1 diabetes and 211 men having Type 2 diabetes undergone the testosterone check test during the study. In this study the testosterone levels in the human body were checked through the blood tests. It was observed during the tests that majority of the men suffering with type 1 as well as type 2 diabetes noted the significant low amount of the testosterone levels in there body. Only 10% men noted to be having the normal level of testosterone. This study really shocked the scientists as low testosterone levels promote the infertility and impotence and in men. So, certainly low testosterone levels play a very much significant role in infertility noted due to the diabetes. Testosterone is an important hormone in the men that guides the sexual activities in men. The growth of the secondary sexual characters in men is dependent on the testosterone levels in his body. Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group. Testosterone is produced by the testicles and plays a vital role in maintaining muscle bulk, adequate levels of red blood cells, and bone growth. Testosterone deficiency was basically observed due to the age, genetic abnormalities like Klinefelter Syndrome, injury or infection to testis, Hemochromatosis (too much iron in the body), and chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. But the latest one to reduce testosterone levels in the body is diabetes. Testosterone is also an essential component for the development of the immune system. . It has been observed during the study that men with less amount of testosterone are unhealthy in comparison to the men with adequate amount of testosterone in the body. Diabetes is found to reduce the testosterone levels in the body very quickly than any other health disorders. Within few months you can note that person with high sugar levels will start showing low testosterone levels. High sugar levels increases the conversion rate of the testosterone to the dihydrotestosterone leading to the reduction in the level of the testosterone. Diabetes type 2 means the low sugar levels in the body, which reduces the essential nutrient supply needed for the production of the testosterone. This retards the production of the testosterone leading to the reduction in the testosterone levels in the body. Sugar level either more or less subsequently affect the testosterone production in the body and cause the testosterone deficiency. Men need to maintain there sugar levels at the normal levels so that they can remain away from the testosterone deficiency that directly or indirectly affects the sex life. The best way to remain away from the diabetes is to avoid excessive amount of sugar including foods. So, keep your diabetes in control to have high testosterone levels. |

| Being Diabetic and also suffering from low testosterone production, I'm always looking for Natural ways to increase testosterone production. Testojack 100 by NOW Foods contains a standardized extract of Eurycoma longifolia, commonly known as Tongkat Ali or Long Jack. LJ100 contains bioactive Eurypeptides, the active constituents of Tongkat Ali. Clinical and non-clinical studies have shown that Tongkat Ali extracts support male reproductive function and healthy testosterone levels. Tribulus has been included for its virility supporting effects as shown in scientific studies. TestoJack 100 also contains ZMA, a synergistic combination of zinc and magnesium for the support of healthy immune, reproductive and neuromuscular function. TestoJack 100 provides enhanced energy levels without the anxiety or insomnia that accompanies other energy supplements, as well as overall support for men's health. I've just finished my first bottle of Testojack 100 and could definitely feel the effects. Testojack 100, 60 vcaps

| That's good information that most of us never knew. What a motivation to keep your diabetes under the best control possible. My husband was diagnosed type 2 diabetic this past year and the doctor never once mentioned...."You need to loose some weight" he never said, "You need to exercise more", and he never said, "You need to clean up your diet". What he Did do is prescribe insulin stimulator drugs, high cholesterol drugs, and tell him to come back in three months!!! Amazing. He also told him "It's better to drink coca cola than eat fruit! Don't even get me started on that track... What my husband did instead was to drop 15 lbs., start walking every day and stop the two bowls of heavily buttered popcorn every night along with gallons of icecream...and choose healthy foods instead. Main thing he did was stop eating anything after 3pm - He feels better than he can remember, the belly is gone and he looks awesome! It takes effort and determination to take control of your health - don't take the lazy way and think you can take a pill to be healthy! |

| This whole relationship between Diabetes, Testosterone, and Obesity is complex. For instance, not everyone with low Testosterone becomes obese, and not all obese people develop diabetes. But with the high prevalence of low Testosterone in Diabetic men, many physicians feel that all men with diabetes should be screened for low Testosterone. If low Testosterone is found, the patient and his physician can make an informed decision regarding Testosterone therapy. |
